This is a challenge I have put myself up to in order to push myself to create a more diverse body of work

I am capable of really nice work and I’ve not been living up to it except in sporadic cases and special orders. I need to spend more time in the studio doing things that stretch my skills. There’s techniques I have always wanted to try, tools I have rarely used, and a huge stockpile of unusual gems that really should be set and shared.

I saw another group doing a Ring a Week, but I want to open it up to whatever object d’art or piece of jewelry happens to happen at any particular time. I tried a Ring a Day challenge at the beginning of this year, but I ran out of gas pretty quick. I like to take more time on my projects, put a good deal more thought into them than that challenge afforded me, and time off. So.

The Rules:
1. The item must involve flame.
2. No production work allowed.
3. Custom work absolutely allowed.
4. Each piece due on Monday.

First piece is due on 10 January.
